If the visible effect wears off, SP5000 can simply be applied on top of the existing sealant, and it is recommended to refresh at least once a year for best possible effects.

The yield of Stoneprotect stone sealing naturally depends very much on the type of stone to be treated, with practical experience showing that one liter of Stoneprotect SP5000 covers approximately 80 to 120 sq ft (10 to 12 sq m) of concrete stone. The sealant inside the stone will remain fully effective even if the visible lotus effect is no longer recognizable, and the surface can be reapplied at any time to regain the visible effect.

Stones keep their high-quality looks longer with Stoneprotect SP5000, as the surface is water-repellent and prevents dirt from penetrating into the stones. Moisture penetration is reduced, and cleaning is made easier. The product dries out within minutes and can be fully loaded and walked on immediately after drying.

Stoneprotect SP5000 can be applied on top of an existing sealer if the previous sealing was also done with Stoneprotect. However, if the stones have been treated with third-party products, these must first be completely removed. The unique nanotechnology in Stoneprotect SP5000 produces the well-known lotus effect, making it easier to remove dirt from the stone surface. The sealant can also be applied to open-pored, absorbent unsealed facade surfaces, but it does not remove green deposits, moss, or algae from the stone.

Stoneprotect SP5000 should be stored in a cool but frost-free place, with the canister kept tightly closed. It can be stored for up to 2 years and should be shaken well before use. The surface must be free of old sealants, grease, dust, and dirt before application, and it must be allowed to dry out thoroughly. The material can be applied by roller, brush, or sprayer, and any excess liquid should be removed from the surface before drying. After drying, the surface is immediately usable and walkable, and the effect can be tested by applying water droplets to the sealed and dried surface.
